a time of reflection........
Yom Tov to my jewish friends, and for those who don’t know- it’s Erev Yom Kippur , when the day of atonement begins at sundown.............. many will fast from tonite to tomorrow nite...and end with a Break Fast... ( the best i may add.... lox and bagels..and all the works)
the time of year to take stock of your life.. your inner landscape...... loved ones... friends.. family.... the world..
your impact on others.. what areas of your life you wish to improve on.. may have failed someone ... and especially failed yourself..........
we are a community...it’s global... it's about humanity... being the kind of people where each other matters.... not the accumulation of things, titles, money... prestige....but how we can effect the lives of others.... for the greater good.. and bring something into this universe to leave worth merit....
i think it’s about living a cleaner, healthier ,more meaningful life..one of trust ,respect and tolerance... .. the world is full of chaos.. people forget the small things that matter.. there are so many others suffering, in pain, in struggles of all kinds..and there are others just trying to live their lives..be with their families.. have shelter.. get an education.. a job....put food on the table.. people leaving countries in the dark and treacherous chaos in search of safety, hope for a better life...and peace.. so many battles to be fought.. ... it’s endless... be part of the battle.. think differently. break barriers and old ideas. find new paths...
i will never forget this lesson taught to me from a very young age...to be compassionate.. reach out a hand to those who need our help ,our words, our ears, our voice, .... whatever brings light.... so basic... but not so easily understood... we are all one
