when i first fell in love with photography it was based on one healing mission to jamaica .. i found myself popping in and out of cars, with my point and shoot camera....mind you i had no idea what was an F-stop or shutter speed , and frankly i didn't care..
i was completely taken over by a racing heartbeat , a connection to community and talking to people ........ finding myself lost and in every different scenario, and never feeling happier in my life...i was elated. ....flying high on this new love.
fast forward to when i realized i didn't have to keep flying back and forth to jamaica (which i did) to find my passion , but that a grande palette was at my backdoor ,and so I then turned my eye to running in and out of New York City many days a week . i was completely overcome by the realization that there was a never ending canvas to work from
I've been going through a lot of old work and recalling the beginning and my evolution to where i am today.....same passion. ...similar eye, but hopefully a bit stronger of an eye and more multifaceted in how i see .....
i remain in love with the camera.. with walking the streets, getting lost.. being on a road trip and going by my antennae.... looking forward to what is ahead...... it's what gets my heart beating , my blood boiling and me singing at the top of my lungs..
there is a poetry to image making...... a dance.. a choreography if you will...... and i continue to look forward to this orchestration of image making..until the last dance
